Proven specification sales experience with M&E consultants.

A technical sales background in chilled beams but also displacement ventilation, grilles, diffusers and VAV systems is desirable.
Must understand the building service industry.
Comfortable with the application sales, modifications of design etc as we are not selling an off the shelf HVAC product.

Preferably have contacts within M&E consultants and M&E contractors.

Energy, passion and a track record of high performance within field sales.

Self-driven, results orientated with a positive outlook.

Autonomous in nature yet still a good team player.

Job Description :

The job role:-

To sell the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of predominantly chilled beams but also displacement ventilation, grilles, diffusers and VAV systems.

The role is 85% specification work; the majority of time will be spent with M&E consultants and architects, the remainder of the time will be spent with building service contractors and M&E contractors.

Key responsibilities:-

To contribute towards the development of sales targets, product mix, sales strategies and business plan for regions within area of responsibility.

To be responsible for achieving the sales target within the area of responsibility; the sales target is based on the following product mix:-

Chilled Beams & Water radiant devices 75%

Displacement ventilation & Grilles and Diffusers, VAV systems 25%

To promote and sell the company's range of ventilation and air distribution equipment particularly within the High Class Office, Healthcare and Laboratory segment.

To predominately visit and communicate with consultants & architects and thereafter, to a lesser extent contractors, to assist them in the suitable selection and specification of the Company's equipment and products.

To assist where necessary in final contractual negotiations with customer and contracts department.

To ensure regular customer contact through personal visits, telephone, correspondence, seminars and where appropriate exhibitions.

To prepares and assist in the preparation of technical proposals/solutions/drawings to customer requirements.

To prepares and assist in the preparation of quotations/tenders as required to customer requirements.

To ensure all customers and prospective customers are kept fully aware of the scope and capabilities of the company's product range and any additions/changes to it.

To ensure that all/any prospects derived from the Company's sales/marketing leads are followed up quickly and professionally.

To monitor competitor activity and general industry/market trends and report these to appropriate members of the management and sales teams.

To obtain all necessary marketing information from various market segments to assist in new product launch and in the attainment of sales targets.

To provide all necessary support and assistance in obtaining data on targeted potential key account customers.

To provide monthly and quarterly sales and marketing reports as requested.

To show a continued commitment to develop product knowledge and attend training courses as and when required to do so.

To assist in the provision of suitable technical and product training to staff members as and when required.

To attend and represent the ICS team as and when required at exhibitions, seminars, technical and trade associations.

To demonstrate at all times the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality and dedication to achieving the Company's business objectives for the area of responsibility.

To ensure the most appropriate use of time management and maximise efficiency when travelling with an effective call plan;

To report on all consultants, architects, contractors and customer contact via the Vecta system.

To behave courteously and professionally at all times and ensure that the customer’s needs are dealt with in the appropriate manner to maximise potential sales opportunities whilst developing and maintaining good working relations.

To comply with H&S regulations set out by the Company and whilst on site.

Any other such duties as maybe required to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of your role.
